Play, Create, Learn!
My aim is to keep a varied routine with plenty of safe outdoor play. I am always open to suggestions and will of course gauge ideas on your child’s interest and adapt the routine to suit. I offer a wide range of activities based on EYFS guidelines.
All childminders, like nurseries, pre-schools and reception classes are registered to deliver the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) by following the EYFS Framework. I deliver the EYFS by working with children's interests, providing activities they enjoy and working with parents to ensure I am meeting each child's development needs.
Our usual weekly routine consists of attending local childminder groups, parks, playgrounds, soft play, sensory rooms and libraries.
I am a member of the Forest Childcare Association which means I have made a commitment to take the children on weekly outdoor outings. I am very lucky to live close to lots of woodland which I regularly use for fun activities such as den building, making stick trails and nature spotting.
Within my home children have access to a wide range of indoor and outdoor toys to stimulate and challenge their interests. We have an enclosed rear garden with a mixture of outdoor toys to encourage outdoor play.
The activities we have in our setting include;
